Between May 1664 and December 1718, for 54 years, Our Lady appeared in Laus, France, to Benedicta Racurel (Benoîte), 17 years old. These apparitions were officially recognized by the Church in 2008. In May 1664, Saint Maurice appeared to Benedicta in the Valley of the Ovens, near Laus, French Alps, and warned,
“You will see the Virgin Mary. She is in Heaven, but comes when you want to appear on Earth." On the next day the young woman was with his herd of goats to the Grotto of the Furnaces, where Our Lady appeared during three months. Our Lady came with the Child Jesus in her arms. Between May and late August 1664, Our Lady appeared daily in the Ovens Valley region. Then went on to appear monthly in Laus. On August 29, 1664, Our Lady said,
"I am the Virgin Mary, the Mother of my beloved Son. I bring you my Son Jesus for reconciliation." Our Lady asked for a chapel to receive pilgrims and Confession. The chapel was taken and there happened apparitions. People began to pray in place and felt the scent of roses. Many sick were healed miraculously. During 54 years following, Benedicta Racurel had several apparitions until his death. Many apparitions were monthly and with intentions that Our Lady asked her to pray. Most of the messages of Our Lady Laus was not in writing. Many accepted the apparitions, but they had difficulties and humiliations . Benedicta had visions of the Passion of Jesus and suffered greatly for the conversion of sinners. She was always available to the pilgrims and the sick . She passed away peacefully and in great sanctity, aged 71, on December 28, 1718. Some messages of Our Lady in Laus:
"Pray. Be Good. Be patient and unselfish. Do penance. Pray the Rosary every day."
"You could offer me a sheep and goat this much you love her by giving her bread and grapes, but that it would be better if the poor?"
"Invite the young people of St. Stephen to come to the Valley des Ovens to the feast of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist."
"When you want to see me, come to the chapel of Laus. Look where you feel good and look at all the doors of homes to find a chapel where you feel good."
"Soon there will be nothing certainly in the chapel. I would like to see the cloths, candles and other ornaments. I want a church in honor of my dear Son Jesus. Many sinners will be converted."
"Patients should use the oil from the lamp of the sanctuary. With lamp oil, if you apply and ask for my intercession with faith , you will be healed."
"Pray unceasingly for the conversion of sinners."
