Eucharistic miracle of Ferrara

On March 28, 1171, Easter Sunday, in Ferrara, Italy, Father Pietro da Verona celebrated Mass with the other three priests. At the moment of departing the Consecrated Host, a large amount of Blood was released from it, splashing droplets everywhere and staining the dome that was above the Altar. The people who attending Mass and the priests were very impressed. The Host become red and many people saw the Baby Jesus in it. Many people have documented testimonies of the miracle and it this proves its authenticity. Blood stains are still visible today and the church has become a place of pilgrimage.
